Trainee Application Engineer (Lighting design)
We are seeking a confident, motivated and driven individual to join our team in “Lighting Design” based at Milton Keynes.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in design, an eye for detail, be enthusiastic, flexible and have the ability to work to deadlines.
The role will encompass you to work individually and as part of a team, managing and designing multiple lighting schemes for the interior and exterior environment.
Creative and technical skills are required to develop lighting designs and are essential in order to produce high quality presentations and drawings for our customers.
You must be educated to “A level” or OND standard in a design, engineering or technical subject.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Photoshop and SketchUp would be an advantage.
Previous lighting design experience not essential as you will receive full training tailored to meet your skills and development needs.

Internal Account Manager
The individual will be based in our Milton Keynes head office and will work alongside our project’s team. On a project by project basis, the person will be expected to communicate effectively with M&E contractors and manage expectations through to order receipt. As part of this role the individual will be responsible for validating new business opportunities and developing leads in conjunction with our external sales team in developing new business.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of working in the commercial and industrial lighting sector. Good interpersonal and organisational skills are essential and have a minimum 2-3 years relevant experience working in a customer facing role. Educated to HNC level or equivalent but preferably hold Prince 2 qualifications.
Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Access would also be advantageous but not essential as the successful candidate will receive specific training tailored to meet our customers’ requirements and your skills and development needs.
Other language skills would be advantageous.

Focus Factory Manager
The Focus Factory Manager is responsible for managing the business unit designed from industrialization for manufacturing, procurement, LEAN manufacturing processes, warehousing and assembling to meet customer requirements and achieve Holophane's objectives. This includes the development and management of the staff, managing the capacity planning, budgeting and an extreme focus on continuous improvement in the environment of LEAN. Participate and lead kaizen events using the tools of Lean Manufacturing. They would ensure the implementation of the metric keys from EQDC featuring safety and health, quality, productivity, delivery and inventory.
Requirements of the Position
Product knowledge of lighting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of the processes of manufacturing and assembling involved in a similar business. Expert knowledge of the tools of Lean Manufacturing in the assembly lines and shop floor. Knowledge of despatch, goods-in and general warehouse processes. Basic knowledge of Office tools. Management skills: natural leadership, high sense of responsibility, proactively, self-control and ability of organization and planning.
Desired Skills
High sense of responsibility and reliability, maintaining the sense of urgency and orientation to the customer, capacity for teamwork and good communication skills.
Education Requirements
Mechanical or electrical engineer, or well experienced in the skills required. Specific training on Lean Manufacturing or well experienced. Previous experience in the management of Manufacturing Operations areas.

Lighting Controls Engineer Salary dependant on experience + benefits
Based in Milton Keynes
Applicants are expected to have a minimum of degree in electrical/electronic based discipline together with experience working with lighting control solutions.
You will be required to demonstrateknowledge of lighting application and controls design, installation and commissioning.
You will be a practical person with an analytical approach to problem solving and be able to advise others onlighting controls issues.
This customer facing position requires the applicant to be able to work in asmall lighting controls team developing products and solutions for customers and distributors.
At times you will be required to lead project development teams, taking new product specificationsand transforming them into working solutions.

The role will encompass you to work individually and as part of a team, co-ordinating, managing and designing multiple lighting schemes for the interior and exterior environment.
You must be educated to Degree or HND level in a design, engineering or a technical subject but preferably hold one of the following:
- Lighting Education Trust - LET Lighting Diploma
- LIF Advanced Certificate (Interior & Exterior Lighting Modules)
- ILE Exterior Lighting Diploma
Previous lighting design experience combined with sound Knowledge of AGI32, REALITY, CALCULX, DIALux, and RELUX is essential for this position.
