In 1998 Coca Cola built its largest factory in Norway.

Norconsult in Sandvika were selected as electrical consultants and, as a result, Holophane Ltd and AE Lighting AS were brought in for the lighting aspects.

Since Coca Cola focused strongly on energy, maintenance and amortisation, it was natural for Norconsult to choose Prismpack as the main lighting in all production and storage bays. Experience from other major projects pointed towards this choice.

With borosilicate prismatic glass reflectors in open luminaires, this gave optimum efficiency with the self-cleaning antistatic glass surface, good cooling and high illuminance.

Calculations undertaken by AE Lighting AS showed a reduction of 30% in the number of luminaires compared with a conventional luminaire with aluminium reflector.
After 8 years, with 160 Prismpack luminaires, only 2 lamp groups have required re-lamping and no reflector cleaning has been needed. Cost has been repaid over just 3 years. A wise decision to choose Prismpack with glass reflector from Holophane Ltd.
