Latest technology for Tunnel Luminaires Metrolux & Widerlite

Part of Holophane’s new Metro Capabilities range, Metrolux and Widerlite are bulkhead luminaires engineered specifically for use in underground rail tunnel systems and have been updated with the latest in lighting technology. Metrolux and Widerlite have a prismatic glass refractor that controls light output. Metrolux has a special safety mechanism that prevents the door from swinging open, a vital feature in tunnel applications.

The rugged die cast aluminium front frame and body of both of these products provides the durability required for the harsh conditions in tunnels and other industrial applications. For quick and simple maintenance, the Metrolux stainless steel quick release door latches allow easy access to the lamp and control gear compartment. The luminaire has been designed for use with energy saving compact fluorescent or LED lamps, whilst the retrofit LED module option allows updating of the existing installation for both types of product. Metrolux and Widerlite are also ideal for security lighting, gantries, boiler houses, conveyor tunnels and local industrial lighting.
